1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, purchasing, enrolling in, or participating in educational programs offered through Nexus Nurse Academy (“Nexus Nurse Academy,” “Nexus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service and applicable educational policies. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not purchase, enroll in, or use our courses.
2. Business Identity
Nexus Nurse Academy is a DBA (Doing Business As) of Nexus Nurse Consulting LLC. Nexus Nurse Consulting LLC is the legal entity responsible for the operation and administration of Nexus Nurse Academy. Depending on the transaction, payment processor, invoice, receipt, financial record, or other business documentation, participants may see Nexus Nurse Consulting LLC, Nexus Nurse Academy, or both names.
3. Continuing Education
-Nexus Nurse Academy provides continuing nursing education and professional development opportunities for registered nurses and other eligible healthcare professionals, as applicable to each course.
Course descriptions will identify the intended audience, applicable contact hours, learning objectives, completion requirements, and any applicable regulatory approval or recognition.
-California BRN Provider Statement:
“Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 18243, for applicable contact hours.”
Approval applies to the provider and does not mean that every course is independently approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing unless specifically stated.
4. Course Registration and Access
Participants are responsible for providing accurate registration information, including their legal name and nursing license number or other required identification information.
Course access is provided to the individual who registered and may not be transferred, shared, sold, or assigned to another person.
Participants are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account login credentials.
5. Course Progression & Verification
-Participants must satisfy all applicable course completion requirements before a Certificate of Completion will be issued.
Asynchronous Course Requirements: The participant must view and complete all required asynchronous digital learning modules in their entirety.
-Post-Course Assessment: When a post-course assessment is required, the participant must complete the online post-test and achieve a minimum passing score of 80%, unless a different passing requirement is specifically identified for the course.
-Certificate of Completion: Upon successful completion of all applicable course requirements, including the post-course assessment when required, a Certificate of Completion will be issued electronically.
Course Evaluation: Participants must complete and submit the required Course Evaluation Form following completion of the post-course assessment.
-Auditing & Participant Record Retention: Participants are responsible for retaining their official Certificate of Completion for a minimum of four (4) years following the course completion date for potential nursing license renewal or regulatory audits.
6. Refund, Cancellation, and Non-Completion Policy
Course Registration Fees: Registration fees are fully refundable when an administrative cancellation request is submitted through the student portal within seven (7) business days of purchase, provided the participant has not launched, viewed, or interacted with course content.
-Forfeiture of Fees: No refunds will be issued once course access has been initiated or after the seven-business-day registration period has elapsed. Participants who register but fail to attend, complete, or pass a course are not eligible for a refund.
-Provider-Initiated Cancellation: If Nexus Nurse Academy cancels a course or retires the digital curriculum for any reason, a 100% refund will be issued to the participant’s original form of payment within five (5) business days.
7. Nondiscrimination and Equal Opportunity
Nexus Nurse Academy complies with applicable state and federal nondiscrimination laws. The Academy does not discriminate in its educational programs, admissions, or administrative operations based on race, color, national origin, sex, gender identity, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or other status protected by applicable law.
8. Record Keeping Policy
-Nexus Nurse Academy may utilize secure, cloud-based systems to maintain educational records and support course completion verification.
Course records may include:

Participant’s legal name

Nursing license number or other applicable identification
-
Registration and payment records
-
Course enrollment information
-
Course completion date
-
Course participation/progress information
-
Post-test scores, when applicable
-
Course evaluation responses
-
Certificates of Completion
-Records are maintained using reasonable administrative, technical, and security safeguards appropriate to the information being maintained.
9. Institutional Record Retention
Nexus Nurse Academy maintains course and participant records for a minimum of four (4) years from the date of course completion, consistent with applicable California continuing nursing education requirements.
Records may include:

Approved course outlines
-
Syllabi and curriculum materials
-
Learning objectives
-
Instructor vitae and professional credentials
-
Participant attendance and completion records
-
LMS verification records
-
Post-test results, when applicable
-
Course evaluations
-
Copies of issued Certificates of Completion
-
Other documentation required to demonstrate compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
10. Certificates of Completion
Certificates are issued only after the participant satisfies all applicable course requirements.
-Participants are responsible for reviewing their certificate for accuracy and promptly notifying Nexus Nurse Academy of any errors.
Certificates may not be altered, duplicated for another participant, or represented as evidence of completion by another individual.
11. Academic Integrity
Participants must personally complete all required course activities and assessments.
Participants may not:

Share course access with another person
-
Complete coursework on behalf of another participant

Misrepresent course participation or completion
-
Submit another person’s work as their own
-
Manipulate or falsify course completion records
-
Reproduce or distribute course materials without authorization
-Nexus Nurse Academy reserves the right to withhold or revoke a Certificate of Completion when participation or completion cannot be verified or when academic integrity requirements have been violated.
12. Intellectual Property
Course materials, templates, written materials, presentations, graphics, logos, website content, and other materials created or provided by Nexus Nurse Academy are proprietary unless otherwise stated.
Materials may not be reproduced, redistributed, resold, modified, published, or commercially exploited without prior written authorization.
13. Website and Digital Content
Information provided through the Nexus Nurse Academy website is intended for educational and informational purposes. Although reasonable efforts are made to provide accurate and current information, regulatory requirements, professional standards, and educational content may change.
14. Privacy
Nexus Nurse Academy collects and uses information necessary to provide services, process transactions, administer courses, maintain records, and comply with applicable requirements. 15. Changes to These Terms
Nexus Nurse Consulting LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service and applicable educational policies when necessary. Updated terms will be posted with an updated effective date.
Changes to course requirements will not retroactively alter completion requirements for participants who have already completed a course unless required by applicable law or regulatory authority.
